Obviously they haven't touched on grammar yet in your marketing curriculum. Reality is not a proper noun, it simply is reality. "The reality" that you refer to is most likely the product of too much "reality" television.
Additionally, did you really think that you were going to find the best bargain at a big-box superstore like Sears? This company has been going out of business for years and they've been raising prices and cutting quality in the hopes that they can hang on for another quarter.
If you understand marketing, you should very well understand lies and deception. Marketers spend their careers muddying up "reality" so that uneducated consumers can feel good about spending their hard earned cash on some worthless junk that will end up in the trash within the year. In the meantime, work on that grammar thingy; it will come in handy someday when you want your bullshit copy-writing to sound eloquent.

Please verify the coupons before going to the stores. That's what I did not do. The expiration date on this page was 10 days off and the coupon was already expired.
